Make no mistake: Tallahassee is no beach town. There is however, a majestic and meandering forested drive that will take you down to the aptly named Forgotten Coast. I’ve never a seen waterfront expanse with less pretension. Luckily this new world is a short trip and my work has taken me down to the gulf for a few photo assignments in the last couple weeks. From sea turtle rehabilitation, to oyster and scallop season, it’s been a lovely reprieve from city life. If you’re looking for a nice stretch of beach, the fresh catch of the day and a bag of cajun boiled peanuts: welcome to the gulf coast.
