I thought this was a really interesting story: The NeuroStar, a machine that delivers a magnetic pulse to the left dorso-lateral pre-frontal cortex of a patient’s brain, a region that is thought to be involved in depression, is a new addition to Tallahassee. Mary, pictured here with Dr John Bailey, believed she would be living with depression for the rest of her life. 30 treatments of 3000 magnetic pulses to her brain and she claims she has never felt better. It will be interesting to see the long-term results of this technology.
