On the heels of the FSU shooting, Tallahassee was forced to endure more tragic news of gun violence in our city; a deputy was shot down by a lunatic who set fire to his own home with the interest of killing the first responders who came to help save him. Another reminder of how incomprehensible the the human spirit can be. Life is precious and dangerously fragile, everyday for the people dedicated to keeping society safe holds the potential for risking their own lives. A great service, and a great sacrifice.
